Here is a list of literary classics that have been largely ignored by Hollywood, and perhaps deserve a little more attention. But, with Moby Dick on the way perhaps that trend is changing, it wouldn't be a surprise to see these titles in the theater in the upcoming years.

Idol Debut Expected Soon: American Idol champ David Cook's debut has been pencilled in for a Nov. 18 release date. The set is being produced by Rob Cavallo and will likely include co-writes with Collective Soul's Ed Roland, Our Lady Peace's Raine Maida and Kara DioGuardi, Idol 's newest judge.

The news that the police wouldn't charge BT over trialing the insidious Phorm ad-spyware certainly didn't come as a major surprise, but when I read the justification for this decision from the City of London constabulary I was livid.

2 Years ago, when Google Trends was introduced, it was proposed to be a tool that tracks the most searched for keywords.Now they have introduced a new tool that gives you a view of how popular that particular website is

In New Mexico and Colorado, Republican registrars are falsely telling students that they are not allowed to register to vote where they go to school. Both states went for Bush in 2004 but are trending blue this year, and in 2004, Kerry was defeated by less than 6,000 votes. That's less than a college campus . . .

Today the international Global Carbon Project releases an updated accounting of CO2 emissions, and they far exceed the best guesses of human behavior by the IPCC. “If this trend continues...we are on track towards the highest projections of climate change," says Corinne Le Quéré, an environmental chemist at the University of East Anglia...
